2019 Kia Forte vs 2019 Toyota Corolla
In the early going of the new model year, it was announced that the Kia Forte would be completely redesigned before its release, and we were pleased just with the information. Then the unveiling of the all-new Forte happened, and we were stoked, because this vehicle is unlike any compact sedan to ever grace our lineup before. Inspired by the Stinger, the Forte is sportier and more sophisticated than ever, making what was already a top-selling sedan even more appealing.
To see how the new model measures up within its segment, we thought we’d pit it against one of its biggest rivals by comparing the 2019 Kia Forte vs 2019 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla may be a compact sedan, but it’s a powerhouse on the market, and we’re excited to see how our entry into its segment fares.

Advantages of the 2019 Forte
As it turns out, the answer is pretty well. Taking one glance at the table above you can see that the Forte outpaces the Corolla in several of the most important aspects to consider when shopping for a compact sedan. We started in the first row with fuel efficiency, something that Toyota is known for on the market, yet the Forte managed to get an extra 3 miles per gallon combined.
Then we moved onto power, which the Forte would surely give up due to the superior economy. But nay again, as that Stinger inspiration pulls through and helps the Forte deliver an extra 15 horsepower. That advantage is increased even more by the fact that the Forte weighs 133 pounds less than the Corolla, as evidence in row number three.
Finally, we turned to cargo capacity, an aspect in which the Forte once again reigns supreme, offering an extra 2.3 cubic feet of space to fill with whatever you might need. If you’re interested in getting your own 2019 Kia Forte, be sure to reach out to us here at Hometown Kia.
