For the 2019 model year, very little has changed in the Kia Niro hybrid crossover. Most of its specifications and features will carry over from last year’s model, which is fine considering it’s still such a fresh vehicle. We look forward to seeing what the next generation or mid-generation refresh will look like for the Niro, but for now, we’re completely happy with the subcompact hybrid crossover that Kia has built for us. If you’re interested in learning more about your options, we thought we’d list out all of the trim levels in which the Niro is available, as well as the fuel economy ratings & base MSRP of each trim.

Trim Level |
City Fuel Efficiency |
Highway Fuel Efficiency |
MSRP |
FE | 52 mpg | 49 mpg | $23,490 |
LX | 51 mpg | 46 mpg | $23,800 |
EX | 51 mpg | 46 mpg | $26,300 |
S Touring | 46 mpg | 40 mpg | $28,700 |
Touring | 46 mpg | 40 mpg | $32,150 |
It’s quite interesting that the higher the trim level the lower the fuel economy, but the fuel efficiency ratings are incredible regardless of which trim level you get. If you’d prefer to save more money at the gas station and are comfortable giving up some cool amenities and features, then perhaps the FE model is for you, or even the LX or EX trims. If you don’t care about how much you’re saving at the pump but want all the hottest features and technologies, then consider the S Touring or Touring trims.
