“Kia’s youthful spirit and commitment to world-class quality and performance enabled the creation of the Stinger, a gorgeous, high-power, GT car available in both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations. The Kia that people knew just five years ago is gone, and our new image is what attracts the young, and the young at heart, in fashion, music, sports and entertainment to take part in our fast-paced runway race. We congratulate Ms. Swanepoel on her record-setting Stinger Runway Racing win.”

The 2018 Stinger was designed by Peter Schreyer and Gregory Guillaume, two geniuses known for their impeccable style. It is a modern interpretation of a gran Turismo vehicle that represents the most powerful and sporty vehicle to ever grace the Kia lineup. Not only does its powertrain allow it to hit 60 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds, but this beautiful beast was honed for performance on the iconic Nurburgring raceway.
So, who got to slide behind the wheel and take a stab at this high-performance GT? Some of the hottest names in style, sport and other media outlets. Looking at the image below, from left to right, celebrity racers included supermodel Joan Smalls, writer and television personality Derek Blasberg, supermodel Candice Swanepoel, legendary baseball player Alex Rodriguez, social media superstart Cameron Dallas and fashion designer Brandon Maxwell.
In the end, Candice Swanepoel stood tall as the winner of the race. If rumors serve, this won’t be the last Stinger Runway Racing challenge, so be sure to check back for more updates if you’re interested to see who else might get behind the wheel of a 2018 Kia Stinger!
