“Value has always been a core tenet for the Kia brand and the all-new Rio sedan and 5-door continue to underscore our commitment to those buyers looking for an entry-level vehicle but desire more than what the subcompact segment currently offers. This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition for our customers, while raising the bar in the small-car segment.”

What’s new in the 2018 Rio Sedan?

While the powertrain of the all-new 2018 Kia Rio Sedan isn’t new, the engine has been enhanced for the new generation. It’s powered by a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine, and its enhancements include improved efficiency, more responsiveness, and more dynamic driving at low speeds. But the vehicle’s platform itself was completely redesigned. With a completely new platform, the Rio was changed right down to the geometry of its suspension. With a new MacPherson strut front suspension, torsion beam rear axle and a tweaked spring and damper setup, the new Rio provides better handling and a more comfortable ride.

But there are plenty of other upgraded and enhanced specifications and features in the all-new Kia Rio Sedan, as well as the Kia Rio 5-Door.
